She was predeceased by: her mother Bertha; and her husband Richard Stewart Guthrie. She is survived by: her children, Kevin Newhart and Shari Newhart; her pet Chloe; and her stepsons, George Guthrie, Tim Guthrie and Todd Guthrie. She is also survived by seven step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren.
