He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald R. Caldwell and Doris R. Caldwell (Ackley); his sister Cindy Berlogar; his brother-in-law Pete Billeci; and his father-in-law John Chamberlin.
He is survived by: his wife Lisa Caldwell (Chamberlin) of American Canyon; his sisters, Stephanie Hutson (David) of Vacaville and Cecile Billeci of Bethel Island; his mother-in-law Janice Chamberlin of Napa; his nieces and nephews, Matt Hutson, Anthony Billeci, Bryan Billeci, Doug Berlogar, Lisa Hutson and Kelly Svenson; his cousins, Bryce Caldwell (Lisa) of Napa and Natalie Buer (Chad) of Colorado Springs; and also Devin Caldwell.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Tulocay Cemetery (411 Coombsville Rd, Napa, CA 94558). During covid, racing was minimal, so Steve decided to register and insure his race car and would drive it on the street to Cars and Coffee, and he always knew he was the fastest car in the parking lot.
