He was loved and cherished by many people including : his mother Marcella McGowen; his children, Leslie King of Gualala, CA, Joe Jr. of Charlottesville, VA, John of Southern Pines, NC, Anne King of Nevada City, CA and Sally King of Grass Valley, CA.; his grandchildren, Parissa, Ryan, Layla, Forrest and Sarah; his stepdaughters, Beth Jolley (Morehouse) of Gainesville, GA and Hilary Morehouse of Piedmont, CA.; and his son Dennis King of Saratoga, CA.

Those who wish to honor Joe's memory with a donation to charity are encouraged to give to the Alameda Boys & Girls Club in his name.
