Verna C. Stone Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Verna C. Stone of Newark, California, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Monta "Monk" Ruben Robinson and Clara Anne Bowen Robinson; her sons, Earl, Mark and David; her granddaughter Carla; her siblings, Verlon Robinson, Vonnie Winegarden, Dalton Robinson, Novella Woodard and Lanette Ballard; and her husbands, Doyle Woods, Charles Schemensky and Robert Stone.

She is survived by: her daughters, Theresa Miller of Newark, Cathy Doub of Lake Isabella and Chris Huperz of Klamath Falls; her grandchildren, David Miller of Bella Vista and Cheryl Mitchell of Fort Bragg; her great grandchildren, Xavier, Reese, Adaliese, Kim and Jon; her niece LouAnn Clifford; and her nephew Larry Gates.
