He was predeceased by : his parents, Jesus Arevalo and Maria Arevalo; his children, Maria Arevalo, Jose Luis Arevalo and Yolanda Escatel; and his pet Butch.

He is survived by : his wife Esperanza Garcia of Arevalo; his children, Esperanza Arevalo, Rudy Arevalo and Viviana Plata; his grandchildren, Mikey Sanchez, Ricky Arevalo, Alyssa Arevalo, Anthony Arevalo and Maribel Arevalo; and his great grandchild Lainey Camacho.
