She was predeceased by : her parents, William C. Abney and Bessie Abney (Watters); her brother Bishop William Abney, Jr.; her sons, Bobby and Tommy; and her siblings, Clara, Mamie, Norman, Marjorie, Phebe, Johnny, Ernestine, Robert, Eleanor and David.

She is survived by : her brother James Abney; and her children, Etterlene (Bunny), Randy, Mark, Eldra (El), James, Jonathan (Chico), Darrell (Dakey) and Carol (Peaches). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
