He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Sterkel and Gladys Sterkel; his brother Gary P.; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Sterkel and Harlen "Bud" Busby.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn; his sister Carol Jean Busby; his children, Kathy Murray (Greg), Judy Campo (Jim), John Winnett (Susan Stewart) and Steve Winnett (Anne Maria Jacobson); his grandchildren, Dylan, Ryan Murray, Lauren Hartmann (Joshua), Steven Campo (Jessica) and Christina Flint (Jamie); and his great grandchildren, Charlotte and Natalie. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.
