He was predeceased by: his parents, Nikolaos Papadatos and Matilda Papadatos (Mavrogiani); and his brother Gerasimos. He is survived by: his brothers, Andoni, Dionysaki and Kostaki; his wife Tasi; his children, Steven Pappas (Christine) and Mary Scheer (Michael); his grandchildren, Presvytera Danae Magoulias (Efstratios), Nicolas Pappas and Sophia Pappas; and his great grandchildren, Stephanie and Georgia "Gia" Magoulias.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Saint Nicholas Memorial Fund.
