Christopher Tyler (Huffman) Kimmel Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christopher Tyler Kimmel (Oakland, California), born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, who passed away on March 27, 2021, at the age of 36, leaving to mourn family and friends.
Chris was a sensitive, loving young man. He was a talented artist and extremely intelligent. He was also full of sarcasm, which he came by honestly via genetics. Chris was also very loved by his family and friends. He served in the United States Marine Reserves and was discharged medically due to an injury.
Chris would want us all to just love each other and remember him as the sarcastic and flawed human he was, and we are all flawed.
Chris is survived by his mother, Kellye Kimmel, his two sons, Tucker and Gavin Kimmel, and other various family members. He will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, in Chris' name.
There will not be any public service for Chris. Chris was cremated in Oakland. His ashes are being given to family members. Those family members will celebrate his life in the way they choose.
If Tucker and Gavin ever see this; your Grannye Kellye (Chris' mom) wants you both to know that she has always loved you and has always wanted to be a part of your lives. She has also had her DNA done on Ancestry and 23andMe. She would love to hear from you and has been wanting to be part of your lives since both of your births. She loves you with all her heart and soul.
To Tucker: We spent time together often, but you were probably too young to remember. I hope you do have some vague memory of those Saturdays. They were very special. Those memories are cherished so much by your Grannye Kellye. She loves you. Don't ever question that.
To Gavin: Your Grannye Kellye was not given an opportunity to ever meet you. She was greatly saddened by this and hopes that one day the two of you can make up for lost time. She loves you. Don't ever question that.
Your Dad will be looking down on you and rooting for your successes in life and know that he is comforting you when you are in low places in life.
He loved you so much.
