He and I became close friends on the WSJ copy and news desks and on the treks home to NYC from South Brunswick, N.J., each night for years after 9/11. David was especially proud to have written the A1 What's News column in WSJ that day after making the trip to New Jersey from NYC. David was a man of tremendous accomplishment with careers in theater and journalism. I hope he found happiness in retirement.”
