It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Lee Morris Sr. of Oakland, California, who passed away on April 30, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sophia Lacy and J. D. Lacy; and his brother Lewis Rabb. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Vernita Marsh Morris; his sons, Edward Tamonte (Karen Tamonte) and George Morris Jr. (Kristina Morris); his grandchildren, Maleeya Tamonte, Kyle Tamonte, Averie Morris and Donovan Morris; his great grandchild Kian Tamonte; his siblings, Gloria Freeman, Adolph Morris (Janell Morris), Shelton Morris, Dr. Carolyn Benton and Dr. Charlie Lacy; and the mother of his children Juanita Morris. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
