She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward T. Sweitzer and Clara Grace Sweitzer (Fitzwater); her siblings, Harry, Arthur, Ernest, Robert, Neale, Edward Sweitzer, Jr., Floda Parrish, Ivy Pace, Hadissie Sweitzer and Nora Hileman; her husband Arlington Boyd Fries; and her daughter Romayne Fries.
She is survived by: her children, Rosemary Ringer of Burlington, VT, Romona Stevenson of Mt. Storm, WV, Richard L. Fries of Accident and Ronaye Paugh of Oakland; her grandsons, Lael Scott Destin, Matthew Paugh, Cody Stevenson and Zachary Paugh; and her great grandchild Jaxon Harvey.
