“Michael touched many lives in big & small ways. He was generous with his time to those of us who worked with him. He was a community activist who was on boards to help vulnerable populations. Over the years he & Bonnie became family friends to us & they’re our kids’ Italian godparents :) Towards the end of his life Michael was always looking out for others. We had weekly calls & he would talk about his sisters, Bonnie & her family instead of himself. Rest in peace Michael. You’re a light to us.”

“I met Michael in 1989, at Deloitte. As a new auditor in a slow period, I was assigned to deliver tax manuals in his department. When Michael spotted me attempting to push a cart with 300 pounds of books, he teased me unmercifully about making good use of my education, then helped me push. That was Michael- kind and compassionate, with a wicked sense of humor. My deepest condolences to Bonnie and other members of his family. Michael was widely loved and will be greatly missed.”

“For Michael's Family, Friends: So sad to hear of Michaels's passing. I recall a younger Michael the most in New York City. He was so very charming and helpful with his sister's friends. The last time I saw Michael was on Long Island, N.Y. on the occasion of celebrating his sister, Gloria and his friend, Dan's wedding; An East Coast Celebration. We sure had many laughs on the last sea voyage ride on the "Mistral II." Mike was a pleasure to be around. He is another heavenly bright star.”
