It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Winstead of Oakland, California, who passed away on August 19, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Michael shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Michael farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Phil Winstead and Peggy Winstead (Stanley). He is survived by: his children, Phillip Winstead of Hays, KS, Dana Winstead of McCook, NE and Amanda Nelson of Salina, KS; his brother Kelvin Stanley Winstead; and his former wife Edna Palineau. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
