He was predeceased by: his daughter Michelle Ward; and his brother Phillip Ward. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ward; his children, Michaelyn Erickson (Keith), Julia Galbraith (Jeff), Kathleen Garrison (Stan), Shannon Lehr (Chris), Patricia Ahern (Scott) and Richard Douglas Ward Jr.; and his brother Ernest Ward. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren, multiple great grandchildren, and two 2nd great grandchildren.
