Scott Dabel Obituary

Scott William Dabel was born on October 4th, 1967, to Gretchen and Bill Dabel. He grew up in Orinda, California and spent much of his life in Oakland and San Francisco before moving to the Mendocino Coast, where he would live for the rest of his life.

Growing up, Scott was a boy scout, eventually earning the rank of Eagle Scout. After high school, Scott studied to be an auto mechanic and licensed smog technician. He worked in many busy shops in the San Francisco Bay Area and specialized in hard to smog vehicles. Once settled on the coast, Scott worked in event production and later in hospice care.

He was always a music lover, especially rock, metal, bay area rap, and above all, Jimmy Buffett. He was an artist and loved to make mosaics. He spent much of his time enjoying the Mendocino coast, and taking his dogs to the beach and the cemetery.

Scott is preceded in death by his father, Bill Dabel, and his sister, Holly Miles. He is survived by his mother Gretchen, his brother Greg, his sister Vicki, his children Amanda, Bridget, and Sean, and his girlfriend Jamie. He will be missed.

Scott will be buried at his favorite cemetery, Rose Memorial Park, in Fort Bragg, California. A public service will be held on Saturday, May 25th, 2:00 PM at Chapel by the Sea.
