It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Yates in Oakland, California, born in Seattle, Washington, who passed away on November 29, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Thomas may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Thomas touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas R. Yates and Anita Yates (Leyba); his sister Lois Ray; and his wife JoAnne. He is survived by: his children, Linda Cohoon, Ken Yates, Carol Haskell and Dan Yates; his grandchildren, Jillian Hall and Kevin Yates; and his great grandchild Betty Hall.
