She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Frederick Bateman Clothey and Vesta Clothey (Wilson); her siblings, Phyllis Roberson (Clothey), Frederick Clothey (India) and Fred Clothey (Ann); her daughters, Martha Fernandez, Lucinda Chase (Brian), Elise Finney (Ronald) and Jane Mergens (Peter); her grandchildren, Paul, Carolyn, Benjamin, Nathan, Daniel, Aubrey, Nicholas, Collrane and Miranda; and her great grandchildren, Patrick, Piper, Aiden, Ashton, Malachi, Capri, Adylaide, Aspen and Jaxon.
In San Diego she also volunteered for the American Cancer Society.
