We are sad to announce that on June 14, 2022, James Edward Stant Jr. of Oceanside, California, born in Washington, District of Columbia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Stant, Sr. and Mary Charlotte Stant (Donahue); his siblings, Ronald Paul Stant, Barbara Ann Taylor (Stant) and Mary Catherine Stant; his siblings-in-law, Carol Stant and Charles Taylor; his niece Kimberly Taylor; and his nephew Chris Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret E.; his children, Stephanie, Melissa Leisure (Rodriguez), Tracy Tarlos (Rodriguez) and Eric Rodriguez; his children-in-law, Cara Rodriguez (Burley), Douglas Hackney, Joseph Verespej and Rick Tarlos; his grandchildren, Chari Verespej, Shaun Verespej, Lindsay Leisure, Madison Tarlos, Ryan Tarlos, Fiona Rodriguez and Sofia Rodriguez; his niece Cheryl Teller (Taylor); his nephews, Patrick Taylor, Danny Taylor and Tracy Stant; and his pet Katy.
In lieu of flowers we invite you to make a donation to the Boys & Girls Club, an organization that funded a life-changing, childhood surgery for Jim, and an organization which held a special place in his heart. Alternatively, donations can be made to Toys for Tots, an organization that supports children of military service members.
