“in the 1969-70 school year, I took Prof. Nosanow's year-long course on classical mechanics for junior-level physics majors at the University of Minnesota. It was my first experience with real rigor in physics. I recall how he taught us how to apply the mathematics we needed to master this subject at this level, and helped a lot of us to transition from a much more naive approach toward physics to what was coming at us in years to come. Thank you Professor Nosanow.”
