James Milton Maxwell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Milton Maxwell of Ojai, California, born in Ventura, California, who passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may James find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Milton and Mildred Elaine Maxwell; and his wife Judi Maxwell. He is survived by: his children, Scott Maxwell (Krystan) of Kansas and Mandi Roberts (Jim) of Ojai; his partner Michele Smith of Fillmore; and his caregivers, Rodney, Deirdre and Nikki. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Soule Park (1033 E Ojai Ave, Ojai, CA 93023).
