He is survived by: his daughters, Corine Curiel (Jose), Kathy Benningfield (Joe) and Tammy Soto. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 41 great‑grandchildren, and 1 great‑great‑granddaughter.
He also participated in the Relay for Life through the American Cancer Society for six years with his entire family under the team name Sotopop.
