He was predeceased by: his parents, Ann Baur and Orval Clark; and his sisters, Betty, Velda and Joann.
He is survived by: his spouse Joe; his daughters, KelliJo Paul and Michelle Ashmore; his sons-in-law, Scot Paul and William Ashmore; his grandchildren, Courtney Taylor (Jason Taylor), Joseph Jones (Annie Freshwater), Dwight Ashmore, Austin Ashmore and Landon Ashmore; and his great grandchildren, Christine Jones, Jax Taylor, Hudson Taylor, Wyatt Taylor and Grayson Jones.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church of Orange (185 S Center St, Orange, CA 92866).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, a cause Joe carried close to his heart during his life.
