In the sacred silence of farewell, Joyce is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Joyce's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Robbins and Doris Robbins (Greenberg); her former husband Charles Kohler (Chuck); her niece Amanda Robbins (Mandy); her former husband Roger Roda (Rod); and her brother James Robbins (Jim).
She is survived by: her children, Andrew Kohler (Andy) of Fairbanks, AK and Martha Kohler of Fair Oaks, CA; her granddaughter Susanna Ewing (Suzy) of Fair Oaks; and her stepdaughter Vivian Roda Schultz (Viv) of Dahlonega, GA.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St Mark's Lutheran Church (7869 Kingswood Dr, Citrus Heights, CA 95610).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Mark's Lutheran Church (Citrus Heights), the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), or Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary in Sacramento.
