With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Ikesaki of Orangevale, California, born in Sacramento, California, who passed away on October 28, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Patricia Ohara and Kenji Ohara; and his sister Jeanne Andersen. He is survived by : his friend Robin; his wife Catherine; his children, Lori, Eric and Alex; his daughter-in-law Courtney; and his granddaughter Alexis.

Tom was awarded the Water Environment Foundation Bedell Award in 1983. He was inducted into the CWEA Select Society of Sanitary Sludge Shovelers (5S) in 1978 in recognition of his scientific contributions to the wastewater treatment industry, and inducted into the Order of the Silver Cover in 1987 in recognition of his long-term service to the Pretreatment, Pollution, Prevention, Stormwater (P3S) Committee.
