With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Molly Haidy Schmitt of Orcutt, California, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 17, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph John and Kathryne Daly Haidy; her husband Robert; and her sister Kathleen Seaman (Donald). She is survived by: her children, Michael Schmitt (Anne) and Michelle Schmitt; her sister Clarissa Carlson (Dale); her granddaughters, Mikaella, Kathryne, Evelyn, Colleen Schmitt and Adrianna Walter (Quinten); and her pet Boo.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Josephite Fathers.
