“Don had been a good friend for years. I first meet him when he was running trains at the Union Oil building in Santa Paula. Don was the reason that I joined the Gold Coast Modular Railroad Club. I enjoyed his company and our trips to hobby and train shops in Los Angeles. The times setting up and the Ventura County Fair Grounds, working until 2 and 3 am, getting everything ready. We would transport the layout in racks on trailers pulled by his green Suburban and my gray pick-up. I miss him.”
