He is survived by: his wife Josefina Gutierrez; his daughters, Maria Cristina Mendez, Martha Olivia Alvarado, Caroline Saldana, Catherine Garcia and Gloria Garza; his grandchildren, Vanessa Saldana Lopez, Janey Burns, Jose Saldana, Stephen Garza, Alejandro Alvarado, Brian Garza, Cecilia Johnson, Andrew Garcia and Mark Garcia; and his daughter Marta. He is also survived by partners in life and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
