He was predeceased by: his wife Jennie Gomez; his parents, Luis Gomez Castro and Maria Jaurigui Borrayo; his brothers, Jesus Gomez Jaurigui and Pedro Gomez; and his stepson Michael Zavala.
He is survived by: his son Jesus Luis Gomez; his siblings, Ignacio Gomez Jaurigui, Francisco Gomez Jaurigui, Evangelina Gomez Jaurigui and Theresa Gomez Jaurigui; and his stepchildren, Graciela Soliz, Laura Zavala, Tomas Zavala and Michele Paniagua. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Santa Clara Mortuary (2370 N H St, Oxnard, CA 93036). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 9:00 AM and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
At the end of his life Luis was stricken with Alzheimer's and his family was told that this disease displays one's true nature.
