She was predeceased by: her former husband Hideo Usuki; and her husband Ted Tadashi Kawata. She is survived by: her children, Rev. Fumiaki, Yoshiaki (Lori), Frank Usuki (Lisa) and Lilli Goro (Nick) of Iowa; her grandchildren, Kimiko Tang (Nelson) of Oregon, Brett Usuki (Hanah Suh) of Nevada, Lauren Trinh (Lam), Ashlyn, Michael Usuki, Sydnie Haymond (Reid), Nina Linnerooth (Chad) and Kami Lopez (Edgar) of Iowa; and her sister Toshiko Ozeki. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
