She was predeceased by: her husband George Vengroski; her son John Ortiz; her sister Belen Garcia; her brother-in-law Ernie Garcia; and her brother Daniel Banales.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Ortiz (Melisa), Lawrence Ortiz (Cherie), Veronica Ortiz-Avila and Shardi Fontes (Jaime); her daughter-in-law Francine Ortiz; and her siblings, John Banales (Lani), Robert Banales (Patricia), David Banales (Mercy) and Herminia Dominguez. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
