He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizario Apodaca and Connie Apodaca; his son Adrian; his siblings, Daniel, Joseph, Irene, Alice and Lydia; and his grandson Michael Rudy.
He is survived by: his wife Irene; his children, Robert (Judy), Steve, David and Sarah (Jerry); his goddaughter Sonya (Jorge); and his sisters, Erlinda Sanchez and Rosemary Bates. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
