He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Gomez and Genaro Gomez of El Rio; his brother Genaro C. Gomez Jr.; and his stepson Louie Carreon Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Jamie V. Gomez, Ruben A. Gomez (Mandy) and Erica C. Gomez; his sister Diana Munoz (Jess Munoz); and his grandchildren, Ryan A. Gomez, Leah N. Gomez and Noel L. Carreon. He is also survived by nephews; nieces; cousins; and his buddy.
A rosary was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Santa Clara Chapel (1333 Ventura Blvd, Oxnard, CA 93036). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at the Santa Clara Cemetery (2370 N H St, Oxnard, CA 93036).
