He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Wallace Hoy and Anne Margaret Hitchcock; the mother of his children Anna Marie Farr Melvin; his son David Theodore Hoy (Ted); his former wife Virginia Ann Weiland Hoy; and his brother John Melvin Hoy (Jack).
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Williams Burton Hoy; his children, Thomas Marc Hoy of Tucson and Peggy Hoy Barrad of Elk Grove, California; his grandchildren, Alexis, Addison, Kelcey and Brody; his great grandchildren, Harley and Bryson; his brother-in-law David J. Weiland (Lillian); his niece Julia Weiland Copado (Ivan); and his stepchildren, John Burton (Paula), Jeff Burton (Heather), Jim Burton (Florentina) and Ruth Burton Vaccaro (Paul).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Pacific Grove Community Center (515 Junipero Ave, Pacific Grove, CA 93950). Kindly RSVP to [email protected] by October 4, 2025.
