Bessie Vermel (Mossbarger) Horrocks Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Mother, Bessie Vermel (Mossbarger) Horrocks (Palm Desert, California), born in Riverside, California, who passed away suddenly on January 18, 2024, at the age of 81. Bess is preceded in death by her Husband, Dean John Horrocks, Father, Elmer Earl Mossbarger, Mother, Dorthy Jewel Dunagan, Daughter, Connie Jewel Tomason, and many other friends and family.
Bess is survived by her 3 children and their spouses, Sherry and Robin Slusser (Castaic, California), Garry Tomason and Josh Calderon (Palm Desert, California), and Paula and Charlie Hipple (Dewey, Arizona). She is also survived by her Sister, Earlene Haisty (Haltom City, Texas), her 6 Grandchildren, Raymond Cheney III (Sanford, North Carolina), Kenneth Cheney, (Castaic, California), Brandon Tomason (29 Palms, California), David Whitten (Valencia, California), Jennifer Rodriguez (Las Vegas, Nevada), and Chelsea Jacobson (West Haven Utah), as well as many Great-Grandchildren.
Bess was a strong woman who loved her family deeply and her family felt the same way about her. She worked 3 jobs for many years just to take care of her children and was driven to do so. She is already sorely missed.
