She is survived by: her children, Donica Simmons and Rona Pressley (Michael); her adoptive daughter Tisha Washington (Jimmy); her son Victor Simmons (Kenia); her grandchildren, Victor Simmons Jr., Michelle Okwuigbo (Michael), Lee Simmons (Karina), Corey Simmons, Jaliyah Wilson, Douglas Hill Jr. (Rebecca) and Jade Hill; and her great grandchildren, Zara, Michael Okwuigbo, Emiliano Alvarado Simmons, Douglas Edward III, Tommy and Navi Hill.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Coachella Valley Cemetery (82-925 Avenue 52, Coachella, CA 92236).
