He was predeceased by: his parent Lonnie; his brothers, Donald, Wayne and Doug; and his parent Coachella Valley.
He is survived by: his sister Barbara; his wife Kathy; his grandchildren, Lonnie Murphy (Nicole), Kelly Murphy, Zachary Pugmire, Shane Pugmire, Mackenzie Pugmire, Aidan Borgonovo and Casey Borgonovo; and his great grandchild Jack Murphy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
