He was predeceased by: his wife Triny; and his son-in-law John Gillespie, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Gloria Gillespie; his granddaughter Cynthia St. Peter (Jase); and his great grandchildren, Kayla St. Peter and Gavin St. Peter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
