He was predeceased by : his parents, Luz Montemayor Sr. and Narssisa Martinez De Montemayor. He is survived by : his wife Elisa Cantu; his children, Janie Huerta (Louie), Servando Montemayor (Irma), Cesar Montemayor (Elda), Carlos Montemayor (Cynthia), Eddie Montemayor (Delia), Mary Burns (Rick) and Gabriel Montemayor (Brenda); and his sister Teresa Garza. He is also survived by 8 loving children, 17 beautiful grandchildren, and 18 adorable great grandchildren, his grandchildren, great grandchildren.
