He was predeceased by: his father Alexander; his siblings, Aileen Nicol, Jean Howie (Ralston) and Gordon Nicol; his son Derek A. Nicol; and his granddaughter AnnMarie Colemere.
He is survived by: his wife DeAnn Judkins; his daughters, Karen Colemere (Scott), Lesley Ward (Joseph) and Valerie Bunker (Christopher); and his brother Kenneth Nicol (Barbara Geisen). He is also survived by grandchildren, seven grandsons and seven granddaughters.
