He is survived by: his son Roy Isao Sugasawara (Alison Michie); his grandchild Ryan Hideo Sugasawara; his children-in-law, Wayne Hisao and Nakano; his grandchild Erin Midori Nakano Israel (Louis Andrew); and his great grandchildren, Benjamin David and Max Aaron Israel.
