Luisa Theresa (Garcia) Laredo Obituary
Luisa Theresa Laredo, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, surrounded by the love of her children. She was 90 years old.
Born in 1935 to Louis and Beatriz Garcia, Luisa was raised with strong values that would guide her throughout her life. She made her home in Monterey Park, California, where she and her husband Mario built a life filled with love, family, and community.
Luisa was preceded in death by her beloved husband Mario, with whom she shared nearly 70 wonderful years of marriage, and her eldest daughter, Ruby Rojas. She is lovingly remembered by her children Ysela, Sonia, Veronica, and Roger; her eight grandchildren; and her seven great-grandchildren, all of whom were constant sources of pride and joy.
For 25 years, Luisa worked for the Alhambra Unified School District, where her dedication and hard work earned her the prestigious “Golden Handshake” upon her retirement.
Luisa had a zest for life and a wide range of interests. A devoted fan of the Dodgers and Lakers, her favorite sport was boxing. She rarely missed a big fight. Whether it was a championship bout or a family gathering, she cherished watching sports with loved ones while enjoying a delicious meal.
Known for her radiant smile, generous spirit, resilience, and infectious sense of humor, Luisa touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on through the lives she inspired.

Services will be held at Calvary mortuary and cemetery in Los Angeles Ca. A viewing and rosary will take place on Tuesday June 10th, at 5pm. Followed by a funeral mass on Wednesday June 11th, at 12:15pm, with interment to follow.
