He was predeceased by : his parents, Edgar Davis and Coretta Davis; his former life partner Mary Lee Pickens Davis; his siblings, Ruth Davis, Irene Brown, Evelyn Copeland, Lindberg, Lester, Eddie and Johnny Davis; and his children, Linda Farmer, Robbyn Bacon and Herman Davis Jr..
He is survived by : his wife Esther Ray Davis; and his children, Michael Davis, Mark Davis, Craig Davis, Doris White, Lorenzo Bacon (Shantell), Reponso Daniels, Shirley Daniels Furnace (Raymond), Selner Pickens, Tyrone Davis, Melvin Davis and Yolanda Davis. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
