He is survived by: his parents, Royal Merrill and Kenda Merrill (Romrell) of Pioneer, CA; his brother Joel Merrill of Elk Grove, CA; his daughter Katie Merrin; his son-in-law Matthew Merrin; his granddaughter Amelia Merrin of Fort Bragg, NC; and his stepchildren, Shawn McCormick of Pocatello, ID and Tiffany Steenburgh of Modesto, CA..
