It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine O. Cervantez of Piru, California, who passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ignacio Ortega and Amanda Abalos Ortega; and her husband Manual Cervantez of Piru. She is survived by: her pet Planet; her children, Pauline (Gilbert), Phyllis, Phillip (Doreen), Greg (Sharyne) and Angela (Manuel); her sister Delfina Ortega; her friend Sandi Graham; her caregivers, Christine Holliday and Kathrine Montes; and her cousin Denise Ruiz. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and her honorary family.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the San Salvador Mission Church (4045 Center St, Piru, CA 93040).
