He is survived by: his wife Lauralee Hawkes Hunsaker; his children, Brent Hunsaker (Laura), Todd Hunsaker (Flory), Julianne Cavanagh (Thomas), Scott Hunsaker (April), Cynthia Shoulder (Gene), Mark Hunsaker (Andrea), John Hunsaker (Mandy) and Melinda Hunsaker (Brett); and his brother Thomas Hunsaker.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the McAulay and Wallace Mortuary (902 N Harbor Blvd, Fullerton, CA 92832). A committal service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Loma Vista Memorial Park (701 E Bastanchury Rd, Fullerton, CA 92835). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (201 Livingston Ave, Placentia, CA 92870).
