He is survived by: his siblings, Pamela Hart of Lindsay, Steven Hood of Oklahoma and Phillip Hood of Oklahoma; his children, Crystal Shroyer of Porterville and Robert R. W. Hood of Paso Robles; and his grandsons, Landon Bratcher, Daniel Troy Shroyer III and Waylon Shroyer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
