It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Lloyd Chapin of Porterville, California, who passed away on May 4, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, T. C. Chapin and Susie Chapin; his wife Barbara Chapin; and his brother Earl Chapin. He is survived by: his children, Bill Blomdal of Browns Valley, Randy Chapin of Grand Junction, CO, Robert Mehciz of Keller, TX, Joseph Mehciz of Porterville, Bradley Chapin of Grand Junction, CO, Cindy Chapin of Montrose, CO, Deborah Elliott of Knoxville, TN and Valerie Chapin of Grand Junction, CO; and his wife's daughters, Melissa Williams and Savannah Munoz. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
