He is survived by: his wife Doris Elizabeth Sánchez Carter; his sister Leonore Coffelt of Leon, Iowa; his children, Kristin Sánchez Carter of Poughkeepsie, NY, Kimberly Romine (Christopher) of Highlands Ranch, CO, Kerry Ensberg (Philip) of San Diego and Jeffrey Alvarez (Leslie) of Poway; and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Colin, Joshua, Alder, Joseph, Madeleine, Charlotte and Lillian. He is also survived by his extended family and many friends.
