He was predeceased by: his wife Sue Kotas; his parents, Henry Kotas and Mae Kotas; his parents-in-law, Everett and Mary VanBuskirk; his sister Betty; and his brother-in-law Merle Buzek.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Worrell (Scott) of Milligan, NE, Darcy Richtarik (Jason), Reenlee II Kotas (Tanya) of Ramona, CA and Kevin Kotas (Charito) of Bonita, CA; his sister-in-law Sheli Schwindt (Richard) of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren, Brandon, Melissa, Shawn, Allison, Sharlene, Bailey, Amanda, Hunter, Molly and Ryan; and his great grandchildren, Cohen, Ensley, Braxton, Dominic, Charlie, Brody and Weston. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A burial will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery (1800 Cabrillo Memorial Dr, San Diego, CA 92106). Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Clairemont Mortuary (4266 Mt Abernathy Ave, San Diego, CA 92117).
